Ok, this week i need to connect my database server to other computer via LAN to copy one database file from other computer. Why i do that? Because the database size is too big. I have backup the database as SQL dump, but i can't restore it in my computer. Then, i googling to build database server in LAN.
Step 1 : Make new user which the host is local ip address
In MySQL Yog. go to Tools-User Manager-Add User ( Ctrl+U ).
Insert the username and host, then click "select all" button to permitt the user to edit the database in this database server. Then click create.
Step 2 : Give all privileges on MySQL server. In this case, i use xampp server which include a MySQL server. To edit privileges, activate the xampp server first. Then go to browser, type http://localhost/xampp in url.
Go to to phpmyadmin, then go to tab privileges.
To edit the "test" user, click the icon which i mark on this picture :
Then click "check all", to grant the user into root, and click "go" button
Then xampp will show the information that the update privileges process is success
Now you can access the database server via LAN
