Now, i have studying routing and network security lecture on this semester. In this lecture, i learn how to manage virtual computer networking in VMWare. We can make many virtual computer if you have enough memory, hard disk, and other hardware components.
I will explain how to setup virtual computer networking in VMWare.
First, you must make a virtual computer in your VMWare machine. After you make a virtual computer and install an operating system in there, you must add an ethernet adapter to your virtual computer. While process during add an ethernet adapter, we asked to select what type of network do you want to add.
We can select spesific virtual network and select vmnet1 until vmnet9. Vmnet is an hub/switch in the real computer networking. So, if you want to connecting two virtual computer, each virtual computer must have an ethernet adapter which have same network address. And each ethernet adapter must have same vmnet. So, if ethernet adapter in first virtual computer are in vmnet3, you must setup the ethernet adapter in second virtual computer too in vmnet3.
If you want to connect our virtual machine to your real computer, we can setup it in host menu.
